  1. Albertsons. Albertsons grocery stores will give you up to $300 cash back from debit card purchases, depending on the location. There are zero fees. You can use a Discover credit card to get cash back as well. 
  2. ALDI. ALDI will let you take up to $100 cash back on debit card purchases only. No fees apply.
  3. Fred Meyer. Fred Meyer will let you take up to $300 cash back depending on location. They’ll charge $0.50 for up to $100 cash back and $3.50 for cash back amounts over $100.
  4. Giant Eagle. Giant Eagle will give you up to $50 cash back for debit card purchases. There is no fee. You may be able to get cash back on personal checks as well. 
  5. Hannaford. Hannaford will let you take up to $200 cash back with no fee. You may be able to get cash back on Discover credit cards as well.
  6. Hy-Vee. Hy-Vee allows up to $60 cash back on debit card purchases. No fee is charged.
  7. Kroger. Kroger allows you to take up to $300 cash back on debit card purchases. There is a minimum $0.50 fee. Larger cash back amounts may incur larger fees.
  8. Meijer. Meijer will give you up to $50 cash back when you spend with your debit card. There are no fees. Some stores may allow you to take cash back from a check as well.
  9. Publix. Publix allows cash back from purchases of up to $100. There are no fees.
  10. Ralphs. Ralphs allows you to get cash back of up to $200 with your debit card. No fees are charged. Discover credit card holders can get cash back as well.
  11. Safeway. Safeway allows you to get up to $200 cash back with your debit card. There are no fees. You can get cash back when you use your Discover credit card as well.
  12. ShopRite. ShopRite allows you to take up to $200 cash back with your debit card. There are no fees to do this. Discover credit card holders can take cash back of up to $120.
  13. Trader Joe’s. Trader Joe’s gives up to $50 cash back on purchases and doesn’t charge any fees.
  14. Whole Foods. Whole Foods lets you take up to $100 cash back on debit card purchases. There are no fees charged.
  15. Winn-Dixie. Winn-Dixie stores will let you get up to $100 cash back on purchases as well. You can use your debit card or Discover credit card to get cash back. No fees are charged. 

Convenience Stores That Give Cash Back

The following convenience stores will allow you to take cash back on store purchases:

  1. 7-Eleven. 7-Eleven will let you take up to $10 cash back on store purchases made with your debit card. There are no fees; however, there may be a limit on the number of cash back transactions you can make daily.
  2. Casey’s General Store. Casey’s General Store locations will let you get up to $20 cash back on debit card purchases. They won’t charge fees for this service.
  3. Circle K. Circle K stores allow you to get up to $40 cash back on debit card purchases. There are no fees charged.
  4. KwikTrip/Kiwk Star. Kwik Trip and Kwik Star store locations allow up to $20 cash back on debit card purchases. The store doesn’t charge fees for this service. 

Pharmacies That Give Cash Back

Three of the largest pharmacy chains also give cash back with purchases. 

  1. CVS. CVS Pharmacy will allow you to get up to $35 cash back with your debit card purchase. The chain does not charge fees for this service.
  2. Rite-Aid. Rite-Aid pharmacy stores will give you up to $40 cash back on debit card purchases. There are no fees for this service. 
  3. Walgreens. Walgreens will give you up to $20 cash back on debit card purchases. They do not charge a fee for this service. 

Other Stores That Give Cash Back

Other stores that give cash back on debit card purchases include big box stores, dollar stores, and more. 

  1. Costco. Costco warehouse clubs will give you cash back of up to $60 on purchases with no fees charged for this service. 
  2. Dollar General. Dollar General will give you up to $40 cash back on debit card purchases. The store does not charge a fee for this service.
  3. Dollar Tree. Dollar Tree stores will give you up to $50 cash back on debit card purchases. However, they do charge $1 for this service. 
  4. Family Dollar. Family Dollar also lets you take up to $50 cash back on purchases made with your debit card. There are no fees charged. 
  5. Home Depot. Home Depot stores let you take up to $50 cash back on debit card purchases. They don’t charge a fee for this service. 
  6. Lowe’s. Lowe’s home improvement stores allow you to get up to $40 cash back on purchases made with your debit card. There are no fees charged for this service. 
  7. Sam’s Club. You can get up to $100 cash back on purchases made at Sam’s Club. No fees are charged.
  8. Staples. Staples home office stores will give you up to $40 cash back on debit card purchases. They do not charge a fee for doing so.
  9. Target. Target will allow you to take up to $40 cash back when you make a debit card purchase. No fees are charged.
  10. Walmart. Walmart will allow you to get up to $100 cash back on debit card purchases made at the register. Note that self-checkout cash back amounts may be lower.

Walmart also gives cash back on Discover credit card purchases and may give cash back on check purchases. There are no fees for getting cash back on purchases.
