Upside App Promo Code: WALLETHACKS25 for 25¢ or more Cashback per Gallon of Gas

When it comes to apps designed to save you money, I like apps that are simple.

If you really want to help me save money, help me save money.

Please don’t make me jump through hoops, play games, or do anything that requires a ton of preparation.

That’s why I’m a fan of apps like Upside and Capital One Shopping.

They’re apps that are simple to use, save you a bunch of money, and can really help put extra cash in your pocket if you take advantage of promotional codes.

What is the Upside App?

Upside is a mobile app that gives you cashback when you shop with one of their partner brands. This includes gas stations, restaurants and groceries.

The most valuable part about the Upside app is clearly when you get gas for your car because they offer massive cashback values.

And earning the cash back is easy – just open the app when you pull into the gas station, check in / claim the offer, fill up, and then take a photo of your gas station receipt to lock it in.

That’s it.

The map shows you everything with cashback.
You can claim an offer and fill up later (within a few hours)

If you need to fill up, you can also open up the app and search for the lowest prices (the price shown in maps is after cashback), active promotions (different stations offer different cash back), and find the lowest possible price after cash back.

I don’t know why it’s taken me this long to find this app – there is literally zero downside.

Upside Promo Codes for 2024

From time to time, Upside will have promo codes where you can get even more cashback at various places.

The juiciest ones are the new customer promo codes and we’ve set up a deal where you can get 25 cents or more cashback on your first fill up when you use our promo code:

WALLETHACKS22

It’s a pretty sweet offer especially with where gas prices are!

How to Enter Upside Promo Code

There are two places you can enter in a promo code:

  1. When you first sign up, you can enter it on the registration page.
  2. Once you’ve loaded the app, you can enter it on your profile.

On Registration

When you first register, one of the screens you’ll see is this one to enter the code:

If you missed this when you signed up, don’t worry – you can enter it later in the app itself.

Within the App

Within the app, you can enter the code by tapping the three horizonal lines at the top left of the app to reveal the menu. Then tap on “Profile” to reveal this screen:

Then tap “Edit” next to Promo code and enter WALLETHACKS20 to get 20¢ or more cash back on your first fill up. You can enter multiple codes but only the last one you enter appears, though they’re all active.

How to Maximize Upside Cashback

The key is staying on top of Upside promotion codes and checking it before you fill up. Not every gas station is covered so you may need to do some pre-planning to know where you might be and when.

I find that the smaller local and regional gas stations aren’t in the Upside up but the likes of Shell and Exxon are. We’ve also discovered that there are a lot of restaurants participate include a few local ones here that we visit often.

With restaurants, you have to check in when you show up and then have four hours to finish your meal and upload the receipt. For example, one local restaurant has 15% cash back with a $10 cap – not bad for doing nothing more than check in and upload a photo.

Finally, periodically you’ll get emails from Upside for referral bonuses, extra cash back, etc. Make sure you scan those from time to time to ensure you get the most out of the app.
