What Are Printables?

A printable is a digital file that can be downloaded and printed on a printer. Printables, or e-printables, can be checklists, artwork and graphic designs, budget worksheets, calendars, planners, journals, stickers, etc. A printable can be a Word document, PDF file, JPEG image, etc.

Gold City Ventures Etsy E-Printables Course Review

A few years back, I started a printables business. I created around 20 downloadable designs and put them on an Etsy account. My sales were pretty dismal despite the great feedback from reviewers. Therefore, my ears perked up a bit when I was asked to write this article.

Selling printables on Etsy is one of the many great passive income ideas. While not everyone will have huge success, it could provide you with some steady monthly income if you’re willing to put your all into the course.

What Is Gold City Ventures?

Along with their healthy-sized staff, Julie and Cody now teach others how to succeed in the e-printable business. Both Julie and Cody have used the tips they share in their course to generate a significant online income.

Gold City Ventures Pricing

The Gold City Etsy E-Printables course costs $247 as of this writing. This fee includes all of the modules mentioned above plus a 30-day membership to the VIP club. After the 30-day trial, the optional VIP membership is $29 monthly.

The website says you can be successful with e-printables without any graphic design skills, if you have minimal free time, aren’t techy, and aren’t creative.

While I believe this is true to some extent, as almost anyone can learn if they put in the effort, you will likely have more success if you have some of these skills.

The course also includes in-depth Pinterest and TikTok marketing tips and other business-growing tips as well. If you purchase a VIP membership with your course, you’ll have added benefits.

Is Gold City Ventures Legit?

Judging by the many testimonials on the Gold City Ventures website, I would have to say yes, the Gold City Ventures Etsy E-Printables course is legit.

There are no official reviews for the site on Trustpilot or on the Better Business Bureau website. However, there are several blog reviews on the course that add to the course’s authenticity.

Who Is Gold City Ventures Etsy E-Printables Course For?

The Gold City Ventures Etsy E-Printables course isn’t for everyone. This course might be for you if:

  • You’re interested in owning your own business
  • You’re willing to put in the heavy work of starting, marketing, and running a business.
  • You are organized and willing to keep track of income, expenses, and other records.
  • You have a creative side to you along with a gift for design and art, or at the very least, you can spot a good printable
  • You’ll have a few hours every week to improve and maintain the business.
  • You’re great at dealing with customers.

You don’t necessarily have to answer “yes” to all of the suggestions above to take the course and have it benefit you.

But if you can answer “yes” to several of the questions, you’ll get the most out of the course. Also, for many people, $250 isn’t going to break them if it ends up being a waste, and they never follow through with creating an Etsy store or maintaining the store.

If you think you’ll put 110% effort into following the course’s instructions, it’ll probably be worth your cash, time, and effort.

However, if you’re wavering on whether or not you want to put in the time, and/or $250 will break the bank or clear out your emergency fund, you may want to think twice about taking the course.

Pros and Cons

There’s a lot to like about Gold City Ventures, but like anything, the course isn’t perfect. Here’s my list of pros and cons.

Pros

  • Covers nearly everything you need to know about running an e-printables business.
  • Trains you to identify and scale down your niche to avoid oversaturation
  • VIP membership is free for the first 30 days
  • Designed to help even those with zero experience

Cons

  • At $247, this course is more expensive than many competing courses.
  • A money-back refund guarantee is limited to 7 days.

Gold City Ventures Alternatives

Here are some alternatives I found to the Gold City Ventures Etsy E-Printables Course.

Printables by Number

Printables by Number is a course that teaches you how to make and market everything from printable art to planners to workbooks.

What differentiates it from Gold City Ventures is that it focuses on sales funnels and blogging.

You do not have to have a blog to make the course work, but that is the primary focus. There is a bonus section on Etsy, but Etsy is not the main sales focus of the printables here. It is slightly cheaper than GCV.

Cost: $197

Etsy Printables Business Success

This Etsy Printables Business Success class can be found on Udemy. The class teaches four things: Designing products, setting up an Etsy store, optimizing listings, and getting free traffic to your store.

While this course isn’t as comprehensive as the Gold City Ventures class, it has high ratings and will help you with the basics.

And it’s only 37 minutes long. It would be a good starter class, but it probably won’t help you with advanced strategies.

Cost: $34.99

How to Make Printable Art to Sell on Etsy

How to Make Printable Art to Sell on Etsy is another Udemy course. At nearly 2.5 hours in length, this course is more comprehensive than other Udemy courses.

It goes more in-depth about the how-to’s of creating printables and using Etsy. The course has high ratings and has had over 3700 students.

You’ll also get full lifetime access to the course.

Cost: $64.99

While all three of these courses are less expensive than the Gold City course, you are missing some critical components if you take them, especially in the areas of marketing and getting traffic to your Etsy store.

That’s important to know when deciding which e-printables course you want to take.

If you’re searching for an e-printables course that teaches you how to run a truly successful Etsy-based business, the Gold City Ventures course is the way to go.

FAQs

Is there a satisfaction guarantee for the course?

There is a 7-day refund period for the course. However, that 7-day refund only applies if you haven’t advanced past module 1.

How long does the course take to complete?

The course is a self-paced course, which means you can finish it in a couple of days or over several months. There are 15 modules in the course, plus bonus modules as well. If you did an hour a day, you could finish in two weeks or so.

How much money can you make selling e-printables?

According to student testimonies, it’s not unreasonable to make $1,000 or more per month after you’ve taken the e-printables course.

That being said, your actual income will depend on how much people like your designs and on the effort you put into following the course’s instructions. Market saturation plays a role in how much you can earn as well. This is why finding the right niche is so important.

Final Thoughts

The Gold City Ventures Etsy E-Printables course offers everything you need to start an e-printables business on Etsy. That being said, it’s still up to you to follow the instructions and do the work.

Nothing good comes without effort. And again, your products will play a key role in your success. This course is a great place to start if you are serious about starting an at-home side hustle creating and selling e-printables on Etsy.
