American Express® Business Gold Card

card_name

The card_name is a card that gives you four Membership Rewards points per dollar spent on the top two categories of spending in your business. You don't have to pick and choose (or remember) which those are, it just picks the top two and gives it to you up to an annual cap of $150,000 in spending in those categories. Terms Apply.

You earn 1X on the others.

Their welcome offer is good – bonus_miles_full

(If you can't get the Ink Business card, this is a great alternative)

  • Welcome Bonus: bonus_miles_full
  • Cash Back Rate: get 4X Membership Rewards(R) points on the 2 categories where your business spends the most each billing cycle from 6 eligible categories. While your top 2 categories may change, you will earn 4X points on the first $150,000 in combined purchases from these categories each calendar year (then 1X thereafter). Only the top 2 categories each billing cycle will count towards the $150,000 cap.
  • Introductory Offers (on purchases, on balance transfers): intro_apr_rate,intro_apr_duration, balance_transfer_intro_apr,balance_transfer_intro_duration
  • Fees: annual_fees annual fee
  • Foreign transaction fees: foreign_transaction_fee

.

Why we like this card: This card has a lot of good things going for it, the best of which is a cashback structure that generously rewards you on specific categories. The 4X points is automatically given to you on the two categories where you spend the most, so you don't have to remember the categories – you just get it. The welcome offer is nice too plus you are earning Membership Rewards points which are quite versatile. If you prefer simplicity and cashback (instead of points), check out the American Express Blue Business Cash Card as a good alternative.
