Do you remember your first day of working in the “real world?”
I remember how excited I was.
I was in my suit. I got there early.
Then I sat in two days of boring orientations.
If learning about mail stops and bathroom locations for two days wasn’t bad enough, I had the employee manual for the next two weeks!
My boss had no idea what to do with me so I got to sit with that gem for ten days.
I did get one good thing out of that experience – I realized no one reads any manual like a novel.
They’re written by folks who also don’t have anything else real to do. Then the lawyers pore over it and scrub out anything useful.
That’s when I learned a crucial lesson.
You only “read the manual” when you have a problem to solve.
Then, you solve it in the least amount of steps necessary. You do the least to get the most. You don’t take shortcuts, you do the best job possible without any wasted effort.
Finally, and this is the kicker, most of the good stuff isn’t even in the manual. The lawyers take all those great tricks and hacks out!
For your money, that’s what we’re about. We’re about doing the least to get the most and keeping all those tricks and hacks in so you get the most value out of your time and money.

What is the Wallet Hacks Way?
The Wallet Hacks Way is an approach to building wealth with just two parts.
The first is Maintaining the Financial Self and the second is Navigating Epic Life Events.
1: Maintaining the Financial Self
Your financial life is like a car. There are many moving parts working in concert, oftentimes in ways you couldn’t predict.
Your budget is like your engine, it is the workhorse that powers the rest of your financial decision making.
Your credit report and scores are like your tires, dictating the flexibility and freedom you have in any decisions involving credit.
Your career is like your steering wheel, with your future path determined by choices you make today.
We will provide guides that help you improve, maintain, and fix those systems. To help you maintain your financial self to give you maximum growth and flexibility.
2: Navigating Epic Life Events
You will experience a series of trajectory changing events, what we call Epic Life Events, and it’s crucial that you navigate them successfully. Graduation, Your First Job, Getting Married, Starting a Family, Buying a House, etc.
They’re seemingly complex events that have a lot of moving parts – but they’ve all been solved before. Kids have been graduating for years! People have been getting married and starting a family for years! You’re not the first person to buy a house for the first time! 🙂
There are best practices. You don’t have to figure it out. We’ll share them and include checklists so you don’t forget a step.
The Wallet Hacks Approach
In developing our guides, we seek two things: Elegance and Execution.
Elegance – we look for the simplest solution to a problem. Complex solutions are ugly. We want to develop something that will give you the most impact for your invested time. We have no time to write filler and you have no time to read it.
Execution – we are solving a specific problem or meet a specific goal right now. Our guides are developed to have a distinct beginning and end, so you know when you’re done. There may be maintenance involved, like checking your credit reports after trying to increase your score, but the main steps will be focused on achieving a key result.
Along the way, we’ll include those golden nuggets that aren’t in the manual. Those key learnings that don’t fit within the execution framework but are still fun to read and learn about.
Our goal is to arm you with the knowledge to build wealth.
