If you are more interested in longer focus group type surveys, Respondent.io is an online focus group that pays you anywhere from $25 for thirty minutes to over $100 for an hour or more. These opportunities are rare though, you have to fill out a qualification survey (no payment) and then the market research company has to select you for the panel.

3. Teach English Online

English is considered “The Dominant Language” despite being the third most widely spoken first language (Mandarin Chinese and Spanish are #1 and #2). This means there are a lot of non-English native speakers who want to get better. This also means that there's a huge influx of businesses looking to solve this problem.

If you have a Bachelor's Degree, a computer, a headset, and a camera – you could become a part-time English teacher to students across the globe. There are a number of platforms that facilitate finding students and you just need to get certified to teach on their platform.

They each have slightly different requirements but the main qualifications are similar. The best part about these jobs is that it's on your own schedule and pace, with bonuses if you teach more classes. Many of the classes are 1-on-1, so it's really like having a Skype conversation with someone across the world. And since you're often teaching international students, in different time zones, you can schedule classes at night and during your off periods.

Some of the most popular platforms:

  • VIPKid – Founded in 2013, they are one of the pioneers in the online English education space. They estimate teachers earn $14-$22 an hour.
  • Education First – Founded in 1965 in Sweden, they estimate you could earn $12-19 an hour.
  • Gogokid – They're offering a $300 bonus but they estimate teachers earn $14-$25 an hour.
  • 51Talk – They are backed by China Online Education Group, a publicly traded company (NYSE: COE) with a $180 million market cap.

4. Deliver Groceries

You can earn a little extra cash by becoming a shopper on Instacart. Instacart is a service that deliver groceries in as little as an hour and they do this by relying on Instacart Shoppers.

There are two different jobs – the In-Store Shoppers who pack the orders in the supermarket and the Full-Service Shoppers who pack the orders and deliver the orders. You can become an In-Store Shopper without having a car but the Full-Service Shoppers will need one.

Each job will have you record yourself performing different tasks on a website, like searching for an item and adding it to your cart. Bonus! Find Missing Money

Right now, there are billions upon billions of dollars in unclaimed money sitting in government accounts. These funds are unclaimed for a variety of reasons. A company tries to pay an employee their last check, but the employee moved without leaving a forwarding address. Maybe a bank closes an inactive account and sends a check to the owner's address, but they moved. Add this all together and it means billions in unclaimed funds.

Some of it might be yours.
